The negotiations between the leadership of Liverpool and Martin Skrtel for the renewal of the contract of a player going down, reported the `Daily Mail`.
The current contract of the player is valid until the summer of 2016. Skrtel has given a broad agreement on a new contract for three years.
It is not clear whether the negotiations between the two sides will be renewed.
He, however, was displeased with the condition that put him out of the leadership to get the full agreed salary if played 80 percent of the games.
In this season, Martin Skrtel has had 30 matches in the Premier League, and another 15 matches in the tournaments for the FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Europa League.
