Terror continues! Andy Murray did not even give a set to Goffin again

Former 1 in the world Andy Murray qualifies for the 1/4-finals of the Shenzhen Open in China. In a second-round match, the British-born Wild Card, who continued to look for his best form after a thigh injury, beat David Goffin (Belgium) with a 6:3, 6:4 driver and last year`s champion. Thus, the 31-year-old Scot scored the sixth win of six matches from archive of tennis predictions against the 11th in the ATP rankings at the time, Goffin. Moreover, the Belgian has not yet won a set against the two-time Olympic champion and three Grand Slam titles. Goffin is also the highest-ranked tennis player Murray wins after returning to the court in June after nearly a year`s absence from the tour.

Murray, who is currently the 311st in the world rankings, led with 4:1 in the first set, breaking through the fourth game. Goffin returned the breakthrough in the seventh game, but immedi ately after that he allowed a rebike, and this proved decisive in the first part. In the second set, Murray took a 3:0 lead and two breaks and then his lead was 5:1. Goffin, however, would close to a great turnaround, narrowing his gap to 4:5 and even having 3 break points for 5:5. Murray still put a point in the dispute with his first match and in a little more than an hour and a half of the game secured a seat in the next phase.

The Scot will argue for a semi-finals place with the Spanish veteran Fernando Verdasco or the Japanese Taro Daniel.
