Simona Halep qualified to the quarterfinals of the mixed tournament in Rome more than a categorically. Romanian won with 6:2, 6:1 over Venus Williams (USA) in the match that lasted 60 minutes!
Halep is placed under No2 in the main draw. She ended the game with 12 winning strokes and 12 unforced errors. The oldest sister Williams scored 12 winners, but the number of errors was amazing - 34, including seven double faults!
In contention for a place in the semi-finals, Simona will face Alexandra Dulgheru, which also scored a victory in two sets - 6:4, 6:3 over Ekaterina Makarova (Russia, No8).
