Live soccer game video FIA will discuss tougher penalties due to Magnussen`s tactics

The stewards promised to raise the issue of changing the standards of judging due to Kevin Magnussen`s aerobatics.

The Haas driver received three ten-second penalties in the sprint at the Miami Grand Prix for aggressive defense - Kevin left the track, which is why he gained an advantage. This allowed the driver to hold off his opponents longer and helped team-mate Nico Hulkenberg earn points. In addition, Magnussen received another five-second penalty for numerous violations of track limits.

Kevin used similar techniques at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Then Niko also finished the race in points.

After the sprint, the Dane admitted that he did not like using stupid tactics at all, but he was forced to work for the team.

The referees called Magnussen out for alleged unsportsmanlike conduct. After talking with Kevin, the stewards decided not to punish him further.

At the same time, the judges announced that they would raise the issue of tightening fines.

While we do not agree with the manner in which the No. 20 car was driven - particularly the multiple violations of track limits - we do not believe the actions rose to the level of unsportsmanlike conduct.

However, stewards need to consider increasing penalties in appropriate situations, particularly in cases of repeated offences, to discourage such developments.

We will clearly raise this issue with the FIA and the team of stewards, " says a statement on the Federation`s website.
