The winner of the Golden Ball for the 1996 Matthias Sammer said he would understand if the attacker of Borussia Dortmund and the top scorer of the Bundesliga Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang decides to leave Germany because of money.
`Of course, I wish Aubameyang to stay at Dortmund because he is a great footballer. And that reflects well on the entire Championship.`, the 49-year-old Sammer commented.
`But I will understand him if he makes the move to China to secure financially himself and his family. We do not have to judge him. I am looking forward hearing his decision.`
`When it comes to a transfer, you should be looking at different points. From a sports point of view, a transfer to China is questionable. But when they give the paycheck, you won`t be able to count the zeros. And then the net amount is becoming more than the gross one.`, added Sammer.
