Arsenal played with Ostersunds and was waiting for the 1/8-finals

The Arsenal team defeated Ostersunds with 3:0 as in the first 1/16-final meeting of the Europa League tournament. Nacho Monreal (13), Sotirios Papagiannopoulos (24) and Mesut Ozil (58) were the winners of the London balls, and Arsenal watchdog David Ospina saved the penalty in the last few seconds.

Even in the first minutes there were interesting moments before the Swedish door. In the 12th minute, a bad mistake in the Ostersund defense gave a great chance for the visitors to go ahead in the score, but a white defender intervened decisively and prevented the ball from entering the door.

Minutes later, Arsenal`s left back Nacho Monreal gave the artillery advance the result. He put an inconsequential reaction to the guard, Ali Keita, and just a short distance sent the ball to the empty gate - 0:1.

It was not too late for Arsenal`s second goal, which was actually the goal of Sotirios Papagiannopoulos. In the 24th minute, after another misunderstanding in the Swedish defense and centering on the right of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the ball met Sotirios`s body and found himself in the doorway of Ostersunds.

After the second goal of Arsenal the hosts woke up and began to look more often at David Ospina`s door, and in the 29th minute the Colombian guard had to intervene decisively after a powerful shot of a white player. In the closing minutes of the first part, the hosts attacked dangerously several times, and Ospina had a job, but the result via partners of live soccer remained unchanged.

In the 58th minute Mesut Ozil made the score 0:3. He received the ball in the host`s field of play, quickly turned and overcame the guard.

At the very end of the match the hosts missed a golden chance for a goal. In the added time, referee Borbalan pointed t o the white point after a defeat of Hector Bellerin against a Ostersunsds' player. Ospina, however, saved Tom Peterson`s penalty, but there was no time for Arsene Wenger to congratulate him with a classic victory as a guest.
