Barcelona`s defender, Gerard Pique, and the mountain runner Nuria Pikas were determined for the best athletes of Catalonia for 2015. The footballer failed to hold back his tears when he got the award and dedicated it to his parents.
`I want to dedicate this award to my parents who gave me everything in life. They complain that they never dedicated his goals, and doing it for Shakira. However, I know that this award is important to them and dedicated it to the ceremony.`, Pique announced.
The defender was a major contributor for the trophies of Barca in 2015 and Nuria Pikas won last year for the second consecutive year, the prestigious race Trail Ultra World Tour.
