Jordan Henderson will be the new captain of Liverpool after last season was a replacement for Steven Gerrard. The manager of the Reds, Brendan Rodgers on several occasions confirmed that Henderson is one of the main options for the new captain of the team.
A number of experts believe that the new leader of the Merseysiders will be James Milner from Manchester City, but Henderson has been preferred by the coaching staff of Liverpool.
Steven Gerrard himself also supported Henderson.
'Jordan has been loyal to the Club, signing a new contract and I wish him all the best. Jordan is a great professional, a winner, a lovely boy.\. commented Gerard to the BBC.
